LOST IN LA MONTAGNE

For the brand's first return to the runway since last year, Jacquemus is back this summer with an AW21 collection entitled “La Montagne.”
So, the last Jacquemus show ‘L’Amour’ was set in a picturesque wheat field near Paris, but this time around Simon Porte Jacquemus opted for a more mountainous scene—hence the name of the new collection. With a set designed to embody a green mountaintop and a clear blue sky, we totally get the mood here. The brand unveiled an earth-toned collection brightened up by hot pinks, oranges and baby blues with both utilitarian and campy (literally) elements like hiking boots and flapped hats at play.

Yet still partial to a crop top, “La Montagne’ maintains chic and sexy silhouettes for a classic Jacquemus feel. Models Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid and Adut Akech, amongst others brought each look to life on the runway and allowed us to feel like part of the show—if only through a moment through their behind the scenes photo dumps on Instagram.
The best part? The entire collection is instantly shoppable from the Jacquemus website with a simple click on your favourite looks as a video of the runway plays and shows each piece in motion.
