What is your approach to makeup ?
Honestly, I would love to learn how to improve my makeup skills. I always wished I was better, but truth be told I’m a little helpless. I keep my makeup pretty simple— the most adventurous I get is putting bronzer on my eyelids as eyeshadow because I can’t figure out proper eyeshadow for the life of me.
Do you draw inspiration from anyone in particular?
I wouldn’t say from a specific person. I definitely have my favourites—especially artist wise. But there are so many amazing talents out there and places to draw inspiration from, that I kind of try and keep my eyes and ears open for the things that excite and motivate me.
What’s your secret to keeping your
skin looking healthy, radiant, and beautiful?
I honestly just don’t use much on my face! All these in depth skincare routines just don’t work for my skin I think. I use micellar water to take makeup off, and a moisturizer with aloe. When it comes to acne I actually use apple cider vinegar as a spot treatment.
CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR MAKEUP ROUTINE AND SOME OF YOUR FAVOURITE PRODUCTS YOU LIKE TO USE ATM?
I stopped using foundation for the most part. I use the Dior backstage foundation and apply with my fingers almost like a tinted moisturizer. I recently got the Charlotte tilbury contour wand that I definitely love!
DO YOU HAVE A SIGNATURE LOOK? IF SO, WHAT DOES THAT LOOK LIKE, AND WHAT ARE YOUR GO TO-PRODUCTS?
Makeup wise—pretty naturally faced (mainly because I don’t know how to do anything else.) if I’m feeling fancy, sometimes I’ll attempt to add a liquid eyeliner.
Are there any looks you’ve seen and have wanted to experiment with?
Coloured eyeliner is something I’ve always wanted to try. Mainly red or yellow, or something neon could be really cool!
I have to ask about your hair—your curls are a dream. What products do you like to use ?
I just recently found this brand called MANE club. I started using their hair masks which I 10/10 recommend. Otherwise they also have a spray, oil and curl cream that I’ve come to love. Its funny—ever since I found them a little while ago, they seem to be the only brand I use. Style wise I’ve started using a three-pronged iron to “crimp” pieces of my hair to blend with my curls, which I really like.
Is there any beauty advice you would like to share?
In terms of advice on how to do your makeup or the best skin product, I definitely wouldn’t be the right person to ask. However when it comes to someone and their beauty as a person, if there’s one piece of advice I could give its that everyone has something about themselves that they may wish they could change, but please do not waste time comparing yourself to someone else. It will only devaluate the beauty you are, and intern make you unhappy with what you have. You’re beautiful the way you are.
You’re such a talented artist.
What’s next? Is there anything
you’ve been working on that we should expect?
YES! I have my first single of 2021 dropping April 30th. I’ve been super excited to announce this one, and I genuinely can’t wait to see what everyone thinks of it. This year music wise will be singles focused with hopefully a feature or two!
