On May 27th, 2017, Dauphine held it's first Masterclass—the Dauphine Beauty Masterclass, presented by Beauty Editor Natalie Ventola, and hosted by The Fairmont Royal York.

Guests' were greeted by a french contemporary ambiance—velvet tufted fringed settees and ottomans, dualed in champagne, and pink.  All furnishings were curated by EIC Krys Lunardo, selected from Contemporary Furniture Rentals. A modern spin on the traditional venue floor was evident, as marble and brushed gold masked the area, also designed by Krys, and produced by Dance Floor Décor.  It was complimented by the permanent classical chandeliers—a glamorous staple of the Upper Canada Room. Before the commencement of the Masterclass, Chef Robert Mills of the Fairmont Royal York, offered a spectacular brunch spread that served our tastebuds well—a week later, and we are still hearing rave reviews about the decadent first class hors d'oeuvres.

Kavi Whisky served their signature coffee infused whisky cocktail, garnished with Belgian waffles—created specifically for Dauphine! An appealing array of our Dauphine acrylic makeup bags, panelled with metallic gold inserts were propped on every seat for our guests—mimicking the gold and lucite coffee tables that were housed in the lounge. Curated by our beauty experts, each makeup bag contained designer beauty and skincare products from our sponsors M.A.C. Cosmetics, Makeup Forever Cosmetics Canada , Dermalogica Canada, Vichy Canada, and luxury cruelty free silk lashes from Kasha Lashes.

The Fairmont Royal York also gifted our guests with specialty herbal energy and equilibrium teas, as well as their Rose 38 perfume body lotion.Guests were taken behind the scenes (BTS) with Makeup Artist and Beauty Editor Natalie Ventola. She took them through the process, from inspiration to creation, with a detailed explanation of everything that goes into conceptualizing, executing, and producing an editorial photo shoot—from creating mood boards, communicating with team members, and dealing with challenges that arise on set. Natalie lead them through getting in touch with their own unique and creative vision, how to take those ideas and turn them into exciting and thought-provoking images to help build a portfolio of work that reflects their talent as individual artists—while appealing to clients and agencies, leading to monetary growth.
