Belstaff takes Yorkville

British modern heritage brand, Belstaff, has opened its first stand-alone boutique in Canada within the newly renovated Yorkville Village shopping centre. The boutique is operated in partnership with the Zappacosta family, known for their upscale multi-brand retail stores philip and Nanni.A private event was held last night to welcome Toronto influencers, VIPs and media to the newly opened location. The boutique holds a complete offering of menswear and accessories from the brand in Canada.

To mark the opening, Belstaff has brought selection of its Archive exhibition, ‘Hollywood Legends’ to Yorkville Village. This is a celebration of Belstaff’s iconic design which influenced many Hollywood films, including: The Iron Man jacket, 2008, inspired by the action film staring Robert Downey Jr; The Hero jacket, 2005, designed exclusively for the dystopian sci-fi film ‘War of the Worlds’; The Knight Blouson, 2008, as worn by Christian Bale in the Batman movie, ‘The Dark Knight’; and The Trialmaster jacket, 2007, an updated version of the original as worn by Will Smith in the post- apocalyptic film ‘I am Legend.’Photo credit: George PimentelPhoto credit for Kish Raveendran's image: Louise Yu
