Giambattista Valli x Spring 2016

Directly from Rome, this Italian designer has completely altered the definition of a ball gown. Through Valli’s Spring 2016 collection we see tulle and ruffle taken to the couture extreme. This collection was inspired through famous Parisian gardens and his translation of each garden into couture couldn’t be more impeccable. Valli incorporated short lengths, exaggerated volumes, bishop sleeves, empire waists and colourful embroideries instead of sequin- a flirty and juvenile approach to couture.
